Choose something else if
- You need a signed BAA for patient information. Safe-Desk does not sign one.
- You need a SOC 2 report today. Safe-Desk has not been audited; the security page lists the controls in place and planned.
- Your policy is that client text must never leave the computer, even to a checking service. A local-only extension fits that rule better.
- You run Microsoft 365 Business Premium with the Purview add-on, your computers are managed with Intune and staff use Edge, and blocking is enough. Microsoft Purview's browser controls may already cover you.
Choose Safe-Desk if
- You run a small accounting, law, insurance, advisory, real estate, HR, dealership or home services business.
- Staff already use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity or DeepSeek and you want them to keep going, safely.
- You want the owner, not an IT department, to see what was caught, by whom and when, with phone alerts.
- You want to draft client documents with AI and have the real names and numbers filled back in, through the connector for your own Claude or ChatGPT.

Questions
Is Safe-Desk a DLP tool?
It does one part of what data-loss prevention does: it checks text going to AI tools and swaps, flags or stops client data. It does not scan email, file shares or endpoints generally.
Why is Safe-Desk hosted instead of running only in the browser?
So the same rules, client list and topics apply on every computer, the owner gets a log and alerts, and a document can be filled in after the AI drafts it. The gate reads each message in memory and never stores chat text. The security review describes exactly what is kept and for how long.
Does Safe-Desk replace ChatGPT Business or Claude Team?
No. It works with them. Staff keep their accounts; Safe-Desk checks what goes in. There is also a chat inside Safe-Desk with $5 of AI per person a month included.
